Dorset Photography Workshop
Join us in Lulworth Bay in Dorset provides a perfect natural harbour. There is lots to shoot here; there is also the beginning of a new Durdle Door at the Stair Hole, which has a small arch. One of the notable features of the Durdle Door is the layers exposed in the cliffs, which will leave you no option but to take out your camera to capture them; the Man O’ War Cove and Mupe Bay also provide some outstanding landscape photography, but are best shoot out of season as during July and August there are a lot of visitors
The spectacular Lulworth Cove is one of the jewels of the Jurassic Coast. Here, a gap in the Portland Stone allowed the sea to rush through and scoop out the softer chalk, creating the almost circular cove.
Our location is around the beautiful Lulworth Cove along the stunning Dorset Coast, Stair Hole, St Oswalds Bay, and Man O’ War Bay. We will also visit Kimmeridge Bay, which offers great potential for creative work when its incredible rock ledges are exposed at low tide. Lulworth Cove and St. Oswalds Bay provide the chance to work on long exposures and capture movement.
In this workshop, you will learn how to photograph the stunning landscapes and enchanting coastlines of Dorset. The region offers not only breathtaking beauty and freshness but also a rich history and geology. Imagine long stretches of seashore, sparkling azure seas, various rock formations, vertiginous cliffs, and rolling downs. The views from Old Harry Rocks are spectacular, and even when the weather isn’t ideal, the rugged grandeur of the area is captivating. Additionally, Dorset is home to 185 million-year-old fossils, adding another layer of intrigue to this beautiful location.
